8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. - Session 1, Sergeant Bret Strecker has been employed with the Columbus Police Department in Columbus, Nebraska, since March of 1994. He will speak about his many years of experience in law enforcement from working in the patrol division to becoming a gang intelligence officer to a drug recognition expert. He will delve into his years as sergeant in charge of investigations, and now in his current role as supervisor of three general criminal investigators, a drug investigator, three community service technicians and two school resource officers. He also works cases, and currently works the majority of the computer crimes, or cybercrimes for the CPD.  (1.5 CEUs)

1:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Session 3, Jim K. McGough is a trial attorney who focuses his practice on defending those arrested and charged with crimes under Nebraska and Federal Law. He has over 15 years of experience as a criminal defense trial lawyer, and has successfully tried numerous trials before juries and judges. He will talk on his most interesting cases and things he has learned throughout the years. (1.5 CEUs)

3:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. - Break

3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. - Session 4, J. Bub Windle works for Mueller Robak LLC in Lincoln, Nebraska, and serves as our legislative representative and will speak to what’s going on in the legislature as it pertains to us and update on future issues. (1.5 CEUs)
